Since I finished the story of Summer Ray, its been quite a hard adjustment. I have been somewhat lost. I didn’t expect to feel this way. But after seventeen and a half years, I grew attached to the story and the characters. But now I get to really share them with the world. I have to change gears to marketing and to the film side. Which I have somewhat already started to do. I am in film classes with our fiscal sponsor, From the Heart Productions www.fromtheheartproductions.com! The books will stay on Amazon. They have a great support system. (EDITED: IngramSpark kindly reached out to me today to get my books on IS. We are working on how to do just that. I appreciate them taking the extra time to reach out to me via a phone call). The books and merchandise will be sold on the home website as well www.thememoirsofsummerray.com once I get it up and running. But it will take a lot of technical know how that I have to find somewhere inside my brain. LOL! I shall prevail!
The next six months goals are written down and mostly on getting the film side of things also moving forward. I excited about my my writing class in a few months, to start the work on the episodes. It remains to be seen, if another writer or more writers will be involved. I am certainly open to it. The story has a solid foundation. Things are absolutely cemented that cannot be changed. But the pilot script has new story lines that are not in the books. So, it will be exciting to see how the episodes turn out and in what direction, added with the storylines of the books. The pilot script is ready to for production. I am so happy about that as I don’t have to start the script now that the books are finished. It is already done and its been through analysis with “fantastic” results.
I was having a few off days where I, as previously stated, felt lost. Then I felt the Lord encouraging me to go and get the paintings out of storage – the ones that have a montage of scenes. These are two of the scenes.
SostarSun Productions is no longer the name of the production company. It will be Juliana Love Productions to go along with Juliana Love Publishing. It was hard to go back through the photos to see where I was skating weekly. But my focus shouldn’t be on the past. I need to stay focused on the fact that after being so sick, I am alive. I am healing. I am getting stronger by the day. I am going back to the rink soon and my coach Cathy and I have a plan in place.
Will I be the older Summer Ray’s skating double? I guess time will tell. I won’t be if that is what is best for the project. I haven’t lost my skating skills. I lost the endurance level. So, we are steadily working on getting it back. I have at least another year to prepare for the program. I am hoping I can be the one to skate it in the film. But right now, I am not 100% sure it will be me. I will absolutely do what is best for the project, even bringing on additional writers if need be.
