Yikes! June 4th was my last blog. But I have indeed been busy. I have met the July 4th deadline, of the 8th and final book in the original series. Thank You, God!

Now ask me about the 7th book (orange color). I have finished it and have it uploaded to KDP. It is ready to be published. I am still waiting on the ISBNs to add. The 7th book may be published a day or two after the 8th one. But there was no way that I was missing that July 4th deadline, with George Washington on the cover. I have met my January to June 30th goal, to have the books finished. The only thing I didn’t get done yet, is the ISBNs for the 7th book. But that is forthcoming. The ending of the series blew me away. I just sat there and shook my head. I couldn’t believe what I was typing! It was shocking. But that is all I can say about that.
I am somewhat lost at the moment. I have been writing this story for seventeen and a half years. The last six months have been excruciating. There is no way to describe the torture I put myself through. But I HAD to get the last book published on July 4th, of the 250th anniversary of America’s independence. I mean, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. No one said I couldn’t publish the book before it, after that date! But there again, the story is finished…finally!
So, now what? Well, I am still in film classes and soon there is a writing class to better understand how to write the TV episodes. I will also begin working on the Pitch Deck. I will create the July 1st to Dec. 31st goals here shortly. I will also be buying an inventory of books for book signings. I am still working on the IngramSpark platform. I think adding the series there will be on the next goal list. But creating the online merchandise store that does include the books, is also in the works. So, I am just as busy, just doing different things to keep moving the project forward. I do cry, not gonna lie that the series has ended. It it bittersweet for sure. But it means I can begin to work more on the film sides of things now. Which I am excited about. I don’t need to worry about the pilot script as it is ready to go. So, that is also exciting. I have so much to be thankful for and it is just a little hard to change gears. But I am steadily working on doing just that!
I will be back to the ice rink soon. I have also been steadily working with my coach doing off ice training. I spent the last five months off the ice because I just didn’t feel well enough. Slowly, but surely, I am getting my strength back. So, I praise God for that too. I have learned that taking things at a slower pace, making goals, not trying to get everything done all at once and wearing myself out, is the best way to move my life forward. I was so sick. But I kept pushing harder and only ended up getting sicker. It was a very humiliating experience for me. I was such a strong athlete. Then, to hit rock bottom, like really hit it was terrifying and humbling. I am still here because God wants me to be. I don’t take that for granted. I am doing better with my diet, and drinking more water. I am walking a few times a week as well.

I have lost some weight and do have a lot more energy. But I am not quite ready to skate yet. I think in another month or two it will happen!
I spent some time at Bethany Beach, Delaware. It is also in the story. I go back in July!
