To complete this class was on my goal list. I was terrified at first, just gotta tell ya! It was pretty scary being in class with so many amazing film people – especially with Carole Dean of From the Heart Productions. www.fromtheheartproductions.com and Tom Malloy www.tommalloy.com. They are experts in their fields and both bring an incredible amount of filmmaking knowledge to class, and they both made me feel welcome and at ease. Thank you both so much!
It isn’t just about having a great script or a great business plan. There has to be a great sense of confidence in our projects too. I have to have confidence in my story to just keep going when roadblocks hit, or when someone tells me, “It’s a pipe dream.” Yes that happened and I kept going! I learned so much from this class and I have tons of notes to go over and I have several books that I am re-reading! I am forever grateful that God led me to both Carole and Tom.
Our immediate goal at SostarSun Productions is to raise $50,000! This is development funds to hire our Casting Director and to help launch us into pre-production. He or she will then look for our talent. I know three stars that I want to pitch and the CD is the right way to go about it. We MUST maintain professionalism! Period!!! This first book series took me twelve and a half years to complete. Wow! It was like an end of an era for me. But yes, there is a spin off that I actually just completed the first chapter of. But I also wrote, “Summer Ray No Matter What!!!” Never give up on yourself or on your dreams.

The script to the two hour film pilot, is ready to go. We have much in place and our first goal to accomplish, is raising that first $50,000. We also have our Entertainment Attorney on board as well to help with all of the legalities!
Whew. But we still have a lot of work to do, and we’re on it.
