“PERSEVERANCE ACCOMPLISHED…!”

I am so happy that amazon is now offering the Summer Ray books in hardcover. It has motivated me to get the 7th volume finally finished. This is an important issue for any producer or investor to know how the story ends, or if there can be a spin off. So, my goal is to publish this book in January. If you would like to view the books, please visit: https://thememoirsofsummerray.com/the-summer-ray-book-series/. I am still working on the 7th book – Rising From the Ashes!

Volume 7 – not yet published

It is not a coincidence that our film logo looks like this:

It’s ironic that two girls who gave me the idea of the phoenix rising, are no longer with the project. But they left behind a great idea for my logo. This is almost as amusing as the girl who sent my first script back to me in ashes, in a coffee can. That script was based on the original book:

This book is no longer in print. I even threw out the entire idea of Summer Ray after my script was burnt to a crisp. I felt it was violated somehow. Yet, thanks to my very close friend, Jessica (her dedication is in the 1st book This Fair and Blighted Land), she came flying to my house, came running inside and grabbed the script out of the trash and slammed it on my desk and said, “It’s a good story. Finish it!” The rest they say, “is history!” We have certainly risen from the ashes, in ways I could never have imagined. For which I truly thank God for. We have been through a lot of ups and downs, and twists and turns. But that is real life and a lot of how the story of Summer Ray is written. One of my favorite quotes is from Colonel Henry Knox of the American Revolution. He stated after they crossed the Delaware with George Washington:

Perseverance accomplished what at first seemed impossible.”

Perseverance” is defined as: “steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.” We MUST be persistent: “to continue steadfastly, to last or endure tenaciously.” Our fiscal sponsor Carole Dean of From the Heart Productions once told me:

Tenacity is the backbone of a filmmaker.”

Tenacity/Tenacious” is defined as: “keeping a firm hold, stubborn, obstinate, holding fast.” There will be plenty of people and excuses out there that will try to stop your success! Don’t let them. Follow your own beliefs. If you need help with learning about film funding and resources, I strongly encourage you to reach out to From the Heart Productions. (www.fromtheheartproductions.com).

Today is #GivingTuesday. I invite you to check out our fundraiser for “A Redemption in Time.” This is a full two hour feature film, based on the 1st half of volume 1 “This Fair and Blighted Land.” To view the book please click on the book cover.
