THE MEMOIRS OF SUMMER RAY

My favorite author is non other than C.S. Lewis. He actually helped me through the process of having to name and write about the demons. Doing something like that, took me to a very dark place and as C.S. Lewis stated, it was “not fun.” For him it was the writing of the “Screwtape Letters,” where he is quoted saying, “not fun“ to write and “resolved never to write another ‘Letter’.“

Unless you are into something like this, it isn’t that big of a deal. But for a Christian, writing about them in Summer Ray – I remember this feeling of darkness that would come over me and I would get very agitated. Since I couldn’t think of demon names on my own, I went to the phone book, closed my eyes and starting pointing at different names.

Woeburn is a combination of two different names that I shortened.

“Gristmill,” is also shortened from two names. But as much as I hated doing it, I had no choice. I could not write a real authentic faith based story with Summer Ray being a Christian, without the devil and the demons. Truly, it would be like saying that the Confederates didn’t fight in the Civil War because the Union won.

So we just take out the Confederates and say that the Yankees won the war without a fight? It’s ludicrous. But honestly, it is what some people want to do. Even some Christians do not want to talk about the devil. Hello! Wake up people!!! He is real and he seeks whom he my devour.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” 1 Peter 5:8

I have to answer to God for what my readers read, and what my viewers view. It truly is not fun writing about darkness. It’s like living in a dungeon or in a cave. But it goes even deeper than that. It goes straight down to Hell because that is where they are from. Writing about witchcraft, isn’t a picnic either because it is something I was delivered from a long time ago. But Father God must trust me enough to write a story such as Summer Ray, or He wouldn’t have placed it on my heart to do so. I need to,

“Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” Ephesians 5:11

And throughout the story of Summer Ray that is exactly what I do. I bring exposure to the unfruitful works of darkness. I cry every time I read about our leading guy, chained up and possibly losing his soul forever. I am sad when I read about the fire witch who sold her soul to Satan and can never enter Heaven. Hell is for real and it is for eternity! There is no getting out of it, once you are cast into it. Summer Ray brings this to light and part of our mission is to: “Light the World” and this also has to do with saving souls!

Satan does not want this story on the big screen, let alone in book form. But

“The gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18

We just have to keep persevering and we will.

I am in the process of writing the 7th and hopefully the final book in the series. I have to detox myself and be very careful not to lash out, if I have just written a demonic scene. Just keeping it real. But it does affect me the same way it affected C.S. Lewis. We are humans. They are supernatural beings. I love writing about the angels. But there again, I cannot write about real Christianity with just angels. Honestly, it would be incredibly boring and absolutely not true to God’s Word. I answer to God and therefore, I must be truthful in how I present the story, even though there are fictional aspects to it. Here, I am even adding the Salvation Prayer that is in the back of EVERY one of my books. I have 29 published books, not just Summer Ray.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:9 – 10-13.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ I come to You. I am a sinner Lord and have sinned against You and against Heaven. I ask you Lord Jesus to forgive my sin and to come into my heart and save my soul. I ask that I be born again into the family of the Living God, and so escape the fires and the torments of eternity in Hell.

I give my life to You. I ask that You will help me to serve You from this moment on. I thank You for saving me and for redeeming me by Your precious Blood. Amen!”

Praying for you and I am praying for Summer Ray to reach the multitudes!
