I think of the making of Summer Ray like this patch quilt. There are so many different pieces that alone, really aren’t good for anything. But put together – it makes a beautiful warm quilt. We may have a lot of different parts that are not yet added, and why the pilot isn’t finished yet. But each part, each person, each line of the script has a story to tell and each has an important significance or role to play. We may have a full script ready to go, but without the funding – we cannot hire those we need to make the pilot. But then once it is made, we need to hire those who will work on it in post production. But even after that, we still need to distribute it. There is a lot we are doing on our own. However, we are only a few pieces of the puzzle. I have been weaving this team for a very long time. We are sewn together for the purpose of making this pilot. But like this patch quilt that isn’t yet finished, there is still a lot of work to be done. It is here I think of ice sculptures. They are not hit all at once or the ice would be destroyed. The sculptors chip away one piece of the ice at a time and it must take a tremendous amount of patience. I cannot say that I have had patience although, I have been doing a lot better at it. It was forced on me at times but God knew what He was and still is doing.
I wish this and I wish that. But the bottom line is that I trust Father God to lead, guide and direct this project with His own hands. But I also believe as humans, we are to become His hands and reach out to help others in need. That is the driving force inside my soul. When I get reviews like the one you will read below, my heart jumps for joy because I know I am doing what I have set out to do, and that is for people to see hope in the midst of their pain!
