The following is an excerpt from my latest book. They Laughed at Noah… Till It Rained!
It’s a book about beating the odds and dreaming the impossible. Having a dream to make an Indie film, takes a tremendous amount of fortitude, like I wrote about in my last blog.

Keep the vision in front of you. Keep that dream house, dream job, dream marriage, dream whatever in front of you. Envision like I just did at your own happy ending. See the dream fulfilled. So, what’s it worth to you get there? My friend, only you can answer that. And remember, when Noah was building the ark, it never rained on earth before. He just did what God told him to do. Why? Because He trusted in Him.
God might be telling you to do something that has never been done before either. People around you might be scorning you, laughing at you, calling you all kinds of names and trying to stop you in your tracks. But guess what, the day Noah entered the ark, it began to rain. Those people who once laughed at him, ran to him. But it was too late. God had shut the door and their hope of being saved was lost.
But due to Noah’s obedience, his family was spared. The animals, every specie of them on planet earth, came two by two. They just humbly walked up to Noah…lions and tigers and bears – oh my! It is because of Noah’s obedience; the earth was repopulated. So, do not ever underestimate your obedience to a faithful God. It could be your own family you are saving and so many other people that depend upon the dream you have living inside you. Let the haters hate. Let yourself be scorned, laughed at and mistreated. You keep God in the equation. Keep Him in front of you as well. The storms will come and try to test what you are made of. They will hurt you by telling you that you are crazy and that you are trying to play God. I don’t understand how people can be so cruel. But sadly, they are. You just brush passed them like Jesus did. Draw closer to Him and He will see you through. Allow Him to be the lighthouse you need to direct you. It may take minutes, months or years. I cannot tell you how long or how short it will take. But persevere and you will get there.
Change your perspective. No longer say, “I am a starving artist.” Say instead, “I am now a prosperous artist and I have all I need to succeed.” Stop saying, “I can’t take this anymore!” Say instead, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!” Remember life and death are in the power of the tongue. So, speak life over your dreams! Water them with love, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, perseverance and trust in Almighty God! Remember too, they laughed at Noah till it rained. People may laugh you to scorn, but – you stay steadfast, stay determined, stay obedient to what Father God told you to do! You will see your dreams come to pass – if you do not quit! So, what are you going to do? Be relentless – oppressively constant; incessant; persistent, continuing, constant, nonstop, lasting, never-ending, steady, uninterrupted, unabated, unbroken, UNSTOPPABLE, tenacious, too stubborn to quit, resolute, purposeful, unwavering, stable and solid? Or are you the opposite – wobbly, weak willed, double-minded, and without backbone?
