THE MEMOIRS OF SUMMER RAY

As I get ready to leave for the beach for a week, I have packed lots of books. I will STILL be studying film funding even on the beach. Hopefully while there, I will get a clear mind and come back with lots of new ideas. I know it have to stay on track. But being distracted by the negatives of Social Media, is a huge downfall. My Fiscal Sponsor Carole Dean of From the Heart Productions said, “Keep your attention on your intention.” I absolutely love this woman and her team. They are experts at the “art of filmfunding” and all that goes with it. Facebook is a great way to socialize. But, it is also becoming more and more damaging. I need to seriously consider spending less time on it. Whatever I put my energy to, is where I will be most prosperous. This is true with my skating. The more time I put into learning the moves, the better I am getting.

With the film, if I can just become single minded, I know I will be far better off. Sometimes I get trapped in the negatives of what is going on in the world and it will be a matter of my will, to stay on the positive side of things. I do not doubt the story. I believe in myself and I feel those two combined are half the battle. The other half is just staying on track and not allowing myself to be derailed.

This film series is an enormous project. It isn’t just one film we are working on. Each film determines whether we can move to the next one. So, each film on its own has to be a success. They each have to have a favorable outcome in order for us to move forward. But, this also means that those playing the roles on ongoing characters, will also have to be involved in this project for several years. I do not know yet what God has in store for me in regard to this project. I am not sure if I am to hand it over to a Producer and have him or her take over, or if I am to be a Producer and keep myself a part of the project from start to finish. I am willing to do what God wants me to do. It is possible I might just become a consultant. I will continue to write the screenplays and finish the 6th and 7th book. But in all honesty, it is a tremendous amout of work to also want to produce the film as well. There again, I am willing to do what God wants me to do. If He wants me to have my hands in the operation of it all, then I will. He knows what is best for the film. I want what He wants.

Until He shows me the next step, I will continue on the tracks that He has me on. The pitch trailer is must. We have raised the expectations of it and I will be super excited once it is finished in the spring of 2019. Till then, onward!
