If there is one thing I have learned from our amazing Fiscal Sponsor, it is the simple fact that we only have about 30 seconds to make a good first impression. As much as I wanted to go the American Film Market this November 2018, after finding out that I need braces to close the gap between my two front teeth, I decided not to go. I need to be at my best. Getting braces on at my age (55), I am doing what I need to do, to be at my best. So, when I stand before potentional producers, directors and investors, I will feel confident I am giving them my best me. This is how much this project means to me. I am willing to wait to make it great. Because I am in the first film, my teeth need to be fixed. The girl who plays the younger me does not have a gap. So, I need to make things consistent.
This allows for my artist friend to not have to rush to get the paintings for the pitch trailer done. She can slow down and we can make sure we have the necessary scenes. We also want the trailer to be at its best and not mediocre, which we have had in the past. I do not consider this a delay. We have waited so many years already, adding one more year is not a set back. It is actually a responsible move, in which we truly want to present ourselves the best we can as professionals.
I look forward to bringing you the best possible film series that you will enjoy for years to come. Onward…
