I have had people tell me after they have donated to the project, “I wish I could give more.” I also think that some people feel bad for only being able to give $1.00, $5.00, or $10.00 and because they don’t think it is enough, or that it will help, they don’t give at all. I was reminded of a story in the Bible about a poor widow woman. It is found in Luke 2:1-4.
“And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites. So He said, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.”
When $1.00 is all you have to give, your donation is worth to us and to God as much as someone who is able to give $1,000. It is just as much appreciated too and it will go help create this first film. A one dollar donation, combined with other dollar donations, adds up to a lot of dollars.
