STEPPING STONES!

Greetings from Gettysburg!

I am finally working on the last book in the original series, The Portals of the Past. I will meet the July 4th deadline. To God be the Glory. I filed my publishing company’s LLC. I sent the first three books to Texas as I entered a book cover contest. I also started my film class with our Fiscal Sponsor. I am telling you, if you are an Indie filmmaker and you need guidance, PLEASE contact them. ww.fromtheheartproductions.com! Right now we are working on intention. (https://thememoirsofsummerray.com/2026/04/18/make-it-plain-2/) Envisioning the end result like seeing myself at the pilot premiere: Where I want to be? What do I want to be doing? I love this definition of “envision.” It means, “to imagine what a situation will be like in the future, especially a situation you intend to work towards.” One of the things I imagine, is Summer Ray on a billboard in Times Square. I don’t care how low she has fallen at this present time, I love New York City and why it is written about throughout the series.

I am working hard on building my skating strength back. This is so I can do the program for the pilot. COVID really messed me up bad. But I am better than I was last year and I call that progress. Thank God, I have more endurance and my strength is slowly returning. The bumps, cracks, and pot holes in the road truly suck. Not to mention the dead ends and detours. But we cannot commit to nor give into them. We have to use them as stepping stones.

I have, by the grace of God, crossed a lot off my list and it is only April. But this is also because I refused to allow myself to stray off the path, and get derailed or distracted. I hope it doesn’t sound like I am bragging. I am just trying to state the fact at how important daily focus really is. Discipline is a word that some of us frown upon. But we need it if we hope to achieve our goals and ultimately our dreams. It is defined as, “the self-control that is gained by requiring that rules or orders be obeyed, and the ability to keep working at something that is difficult.” It has been a very rough road, especially since January. But the rewards outweigh the work involved. I am accomplishing my goals that will lead to me living the dreams I have, and it makes me deliriously happy! I just have to keep moving forward and so do you!

THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR SUMMER RAY WORLD!
