February 2021, it will be twelve years since Summer Ray first began. There are those who wonder if the pilot will ever be made and if this series will ever get to be a made for TV series. My answer is, “Yes!” Twelve years seems like a long time. But I am so reminded of the woman in the Bible with the issue of blood.
“And a woman was there who had suffered from bleeding for twelve years. She had borne much agony under the care of many physicians and had spent all she had, but to no avail. INSTEAD, her condition only grew worse. When the woman heard about Jesus, she came up through the crowd behind Him and touched his cloak, For she kept saying, “If only I touch His garments, I will be healed.” IMMEDIATELY, her bleeding stopped and she sensed in her body that she was healed of her affliction.”

This woman went through a lot to get healed. The physicians could not help her. She spent all she had and only grew worse. She was an outcast because back in her day, she was considered, “unclean.” She was alone and lonely. Then she heard about Jesus. Hallelujah! She kept saying…! This is so important because the Bible also says in Proverbs 18:21 “Life and death are in the power of the tongue.” DON’T SPEAK DEATH OVER YOUR DREAMS! She kept saying….! She believed that if she just touched His garment, she would be healed and she was. Wow! Praise God.
But listen, sometimes things will get worse before the answer manifests. So, what are you going to do? Are you going to be like this woman and reach out for the ONE who can work miracles, or are you going to doubt and give up? I can tell you honestly, there were many times things for Summer Ray got worse and then they got worse some more. It wasn’t fun for any of us. But, we didn’t quit. We tripled our efforts and we kept moving forward. I know that God will provide for what we need, at the time He feels we need it. But we still have to do the work. We still have to do the believing, the saying, the reaching and the touching. We have to touch God’s heart with our tenacity and our faith. I refuse to give up on Summer Ray. I absolutely refuse. Why? Because I know there are people all across the globe,
who we can help bring to Jesus, who need Him just as much as we do.

I have to keep myself centered on the Word of God. I have to keep believing, keep saying, keep reaching and keep touching. Why? Because God is real. Miracles happen all the time. Nothing is impossible with God, and all things are possible to those who believe. I don’t care if we need five million or a hundred million dollars to make this pilot. God will provide it! I just have to keep moving forward. He will meet us along the way with His provision and Wow! What a day that will be. When we can finally start filming. We are so close and we will get there.
