It isn’t very often that I actually sit quietly and rest my thoughts, so that I can hear God better. But I do know when He is impressing something inside of me, to the point I must get quiet, so that He can download His plan. Due to the Coronavirus, the world (for whatever reason – be it the media, election year…) is crashing down around us. The Bible says,
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
Jeremiah 17: 7-8
Summer Ray is a God ordained project. The world is shutting down, but the righteous flourish like a palm tree. I am only righteous in Christ, definitely not in my own merit. But according to the Word, even in year of drought, I will not cease to bear fruit. The “heat” in this case, is the virus that is crippling the world and its economy. Even if the news media has blown it out of proportion, it is still causing major bans and shut downs. It is still causing anxiety and havoc. But by trusting in the Lord, the roots of my faith are deep, and my leaves are still green as long as I continue to nourish myself in the Word of God. I cannot fear what is going on in the world. It doesn’t mean that I don’t get concerned, or ask God, “Why, why, why?” and “Why haven’t I seen film funding yet?” I use the word, “cannot” in the above sentence because it takes a concentrated effort not to fear. If I just let my emotions run away with me, I would be joining in the frenzy of this pandemic. Is the panic warrented? Not when you are a Christian. But, it still takes effort, not to be anxious or worried.
I believe the story of Summer Ray is also America’s story.
Summer Ray can help to restore a portion of America’s patriotic former glory, and it can help to bring America back to some of her original intentions. Which is of course, our founding.
Like it or not, I am a die-hard Trump supporter, and I know when Father God is ready, He will make sure that Summer Ray is funded fully. I just have to make sure that I don’t fall into the traps of self-doubt which is easy to do. But still, my trust is the Lord. My trust is in the Lord. So, I always have to guage my impatience, on His faithfulness. This project will flourish – it is flourishing already. So, the heat of the world and all that is going on, isn’t going to stop us from succeeding in our Summer Ray mission. We just have to keep moving forward. We do not need to fear this pandemic. We simply need to keep trusting in the Lord.
