I am in it for the long haul. I am not quitting. I am not giving up, nor am I just going to, “wing it.” “To do or try to do something without much practice or preparation.” (merriam-webster.com). Yikes! Some people wing it because they have not prepared nor spent the necessary time in practice. If I did this with my upcoming Silver Moves in the Field test and I figure skate before a panel of judges, it is for certain, I would fail. Perseverance is defined as “persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.” (dictionary.com). Any athlete knows that if you want to win, if you want to cross that finish line, you have to work hard. Period. There is no getting around it, nor of the discipline.
I have been discouraged to the point of giving up. True statement. But then, I read the story again and my confidence is reignited. I do not have to compete with other series or films, because Summer Ray has a life of its own. Truly, SR is the standout story for its time. We just have to wait on God for “its time.” Which is not always easy. Delay, doesn’t mean, “No!” Sometimes planes are in holding patterns, in which they fly in circles waiting to land. It can be difficult as a passenger on one of these flights because you don’t know why you can’t get off the plane yet, and there is no way you can exit it while in mid-air. So, you are stuck until those in control – as in the Control Tower allows you to land. God is our Control Tower. Really, it is that simple. I have the choice to follow what He says, or to jump ship. Well, Summer Ray isn’t sinking. She is walking on water. Amen!
