THE MEMOIRS OF SUMMER RAY

Harbour is defined as “a place on the coast where ships may moor in shelter, especially one protected from rough water by piers, jetties, and other artificial structures.” What stands out to me is that a harbour is a place of protection. It is shelter from a storm. This is what I want people to think about Summer Ray. Our mission is to be a place where one can go and rest awhile, be entertained and find hope and inspiration. We want to be a haven of escape from life’s storms. Haven is defined as “a place of safety or refuge.” On all of my stationary – it will have part of the following passage of scripture:

“Then they cry out to the Lord in their trouble. And He brings them out of their distresses. He calms the storm, so that the waves are still. Then they are glad because they are quiet. So He guides them to their desired haven. Oh that men would praise God for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men.”

Psalms107:28-31

The title is the film company which owns the script and the finished films/mini-series. I wanted to also honor my dad in that the “&” symbol will actually be an anchor as he served in the Navy! My love for the beach came from my parents. In fact, I just got back from a family vacation. The above picture isn’t the greatest. But, Bethany Beach is my other home away from Gettysburg. We will get to film at Bethany as it is part of the book series. The story of Summer Ray is an adventure; doing some things we are too scared to do, but we do it anyway. We face our own fears and do our best to overcome them. But, in Summer’s case, she had a long road down before she could look up.

Perhaps you are looking down. Remember the stars are up. It might be midnight in your life, but stars only shine in the dark. I never knew what I could accomplish, back when I was crippled from a head injury. I didn’t think it was possible to be able to do what I am doing now. This is the kind of encouragement we want to bring…and the beauty of it all – because of God’s help, we are!
