THE MEMOIRS OF SUMMER RAY

It’s been a few weeks since I have worked on Summer Ray. One of those reasons is because I was sick on the couch for a week, all the while feeling somewhat guilty, lost and confused as to why I was not working on the film. But, I needed to get better and to get a clearer sense of direction from the Lord.

At some point in the future, I plan to run for Congress. I have even started to circulate a petition to see if I can get the required signatures. But, this is something that is in my future, once Summer Ray is off the runway and soaring. Right now, I am in preparation to run for Congress. In the meantime, there is still much work to be done on Summer Ray. The work that needed to be finished is, and the rest cannot be done without funding. Even partial funding, will get the much needed fuel in our tanks and we can finally take off. Summer Ray is a global ministry, not just for here in America. This is why our foundation is called, “Summer Ray Light the World Foundation.”

Lately, I have felt like I am standing up against an 80 foot wall with no way to climb it, go inside it or around it. I am reminded of the walls of Jericho. There was no way in, nor out. Joshua, the leader of the Israelites, must have felt the way I do now. How in the world am I supposed to get this wall down? Truly, this is out of my hands as much as it was out of Joshua’s hands.

Let’s face one simple fact. There is no way I could have gotten this far if God wasn’t with me. Truth! People marvel at the work that has been done and how long I have kept with this project. I have not, nor will I ever give up on Summer Ray. But, truth again. This is God’s project. He gives me the strength and He empowers me to do the work. So, why am I fretting about funding? It is God who does the work in me. He is the one who will provide it. He is the one who brought down the walls of Jericho. He is the one who will bring in the funding.
