First, I apologize. I have not posted much. But we are off to a very busy year. Let me start by saying that a story, is like a building, with many different parts. The story must be compelling, with strong emotional attachments to the characters. Writing a story as big as Summer Ray, although it is an adventure – it is also very hard. Storylines have to make sense, and they have to connect. I consider the books to be the building blocks. They are the tools I use, to create the film scripts. I am quite the perfectionist when it comes to creating a product that you will happy you bought. I have made slight changes to the book covers and I reedited the books. This is just to make sure they are pristine – “clean and fresh as if new; spotless.” I want you to feel interwoven inside the story, like you, yourself are a part of it as you fall in love with the characters, and begin to root for them, on their own individual journeys. When I first started skating, I had on beginner skates.

But as my skating skills have grown, so has my need for higher level skates. I kind of see this with the books. As I have grown as a novelist and photographer, so has my need to upgrade the books. I feel this picture of Tony and I, suits the story much better than the last cover.

I feel it has that pristine look about it that I wanted. But, it will be this way with the film too. We will give you our all, to bring you the very best! But till then, we are working on the book signings and film festivals this year and hopefully we can start production next year. There are still a lot of behind the scenes work that must be done, especially with fundraising. If you would like to donate to our totally tax deductible fundraiser via our fiscal sponsor Carole Dean of From the Heart Productions, please click on the red, “Donate” button. www.fromtheheartproductions.com!
Thank you for being such a huge part of our Summer Ray world!
