When I finished the updated Proof of Concept video, I cried. I felt such a huge loss. It was really weird. I couldn’t understand what my problem was. But we have been laying this foundation for so long, thirteen years in fact that because the foundation is now solid and strong, I felt like it was an end of an era. There were also a few people that are no longer with us, who were once apart of the project. But we will keep their memories alive and will always remember their love and contributions as we are not leaving them behind. But of course, there are also those who left the project and moved on to other things. There is are even a few that I once was friends with, and somehow those friendships died. But the show much go on and I have to stay focused.
We are ready to move forward to start building the walls of the project. I believe this year, is the year we will finally start pre-production. We have some loose ends to tie up with development. But we are so close to pre-production and as the Bible states in Psalm 118:23, “This is the LORD’S doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.” (ESV)
The walls cannot be built without a solid foundation. Many filmmakers have tried to move forward without solidity, (the quality or state of being firm or strong in structure) and have failed. Sometimes, I would get so frustrated and anxious that things took so long to get where we are now. But God had a plan! When I filmed some of the scenes way back in the day, I didn’t even know what a Proof of Concept video was. I just knew, I had to get certain scenes done. They sat in my video archive for years. At times, I felt like I was wasting time. But I just kept on moving forward. I didn’t hear about a POC until last year around April, I believe it was. But a few months later in September, the POC was very heavy on my heart. I did some research and the rest is history. We were able to film a few more scenes and it took five months to complete. But it started several years back and I didn’t even know it. I can only thank God that He had instructed me, and I had the team to get it all done. I am so incredibly blessed with all who have helped on this journey. I am surrounded by amazing talent.
The Summer Ray film pilot, “A Redemption in Time,” the foundation is now fully cemented and finalized. It is ready to start having the walls built. But this also starts a whole new chapter. It takes a lot of building supplies, machinery and people who know what they are doing. I for one, will continue to study under our Fiscal Sponsor, Carole Dean of From the Heart Productions www.fromtheheartproductions.com! I plan to submit the script and the video to many different film festivals, and hopefully some of my team and I can attend a few of them. It’s very exciting because these are just more stepping stones that we are FINALLY crossing. It is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes! THANK YOU, GOD!!!
