Always learning what to do next. Just when I think I may have a break, NOPE! There is something else that needs to be done. Welcome to the wonderful world of filmmaking! But it is a wonderful world to be a part of.
It is like climbing that ladder, which I talk about often. I know there are many more rungs to climb.

But thankfully, there are not as many as there were last year, or even last month. Progress is being made and that is awesome. Our script may not have been accepted to some film festivals, but it was accepted to three in 2021! I look forward to many more both accepts and rejects. The script will not please everyone and that is something that might be hard to take at first. I am very settled with where the script is now. But there again, it took many years to get it to where it is. When I first sent it out for coverage, where professional script writers read it over – they had (2) good things to say about it. It came back with six sheets of what was wrong with it. www.screenplaycoverage.com!

Positive elements in this screenplay:
“The idea of a woman wanting to help Civil War ghosts cross over to the other side is great. I also
like that Summer is the “chosen” one.“
That was six years ago. But I took to heart their notes and didn’t get mad due to pride! Our Fiscal Sponsor Carole Dean of From the Heart Productions www.fromtheheartproductions.com; told me on

“You must have the script at the best place possible then you want “coverage” on it.”
Award winning writer, director and actor Tom Malloy ALWAYS talks about “prepping the project, ” and “having the project ready to be financed.” www.tommalloy.com! I wrote the following blog on

I will never get tired of looking at this picture and not just because I took it. Everything about this picture screams beauty. (I am sorry to only show the downgraded version. But I have to protect the upgraded one). The upgraded versions are how we want our films to look. We do not want things out of place, or blurry, or without purpose. We cannot just go out there and “wing it.” Doing something “without preparation,” would cause our film to be a pitiful disaster. It is easy to get impatient. It is human nature to want to rush ahead when we are not quite ready to do so. The pieces ALL have to be in place and that includes a great script, polished and ready to go.
In revamping my book series, I noticed something in the first book that was not added to the screenplay. I freaked out. How could I have missed such an important piece that was so necessary in the evolution from past to present? Which basically, is our “signature” so to speak as for the series of Summer Ray and how the storylines blend the past with the present. Things that are good, can go on to be better. Things that are better can go on to be excellent. I have taken hundreds of pictures of this bridge in various weather conditions. But only one stands out the most. We want to be that film that “stands out the most” as well.
We will get there! Our motion picture will be perfect, or as close to it as possible!
