Thank you to everyone who voted for me to win the 2 minute pitch at the Content21 Film Festival in Texas. Because I have damaged vocal cords, I am hoping to use this 2 minute video as my pitch.

WE DO HAVE SOME REALLY GREAT PERKS. THANK YOU!
Thank you for your continued support of our Summer Ray project. We are so close to production! I am finally healing from my injuries; a broken wrist and rib. I did not have a fun summer. In fact, it was probably one of the worst I ever had – except for the family beach trip and the fact my script was nominated for “Best Feature Screenplay.” But it was a brutally painful few months. I have made some changes with my skating.

My coach Cathy and I, are only working now on the film skating program. This is not easy and it takes a lot of discipline; a lot of stretching; a lot of dedication.

But it really is important to me to be able to do this and to do it well. After trying to cram a Silver Moves test, dance moves with my coach Linda, and the film – I burnt myself out. It is okay to slow things down. It is okay to not accomplish everything at once. Pushing too hard can and does create mistakes. I had a ton of blood work done. Thankfully, most of it is normal. Let’s just say, I need to do a better job of taking care of myself and that is okay too. We really need to take the time for ourselves. Summer Ray doesn’t move forward if I am down. So, by taking better care of my health by not pushing so damn hard, and not feeling guilty for slowing down, I am in a far better frame of mind too. Attending film festivals – I have to be at my best!!!
