When I checked the stats of my blogs and in what part of the world they are being read at, all I can say is, “Wow!” It’s exciting to me that people in other countries are actually reading about the journey of Summer Ray. The books are also translated into 13 different languages. “Wow” again.
America is facing what seems to be one crisis after another. We were told that we shouldn’t try to make a movie with the material that is written in the scripts. This is due to the fact that American history is being ripped apart at its seams. The excuse is that Confederate history is racist and had to go. But the truth is, they didn’t stop with Confederate history – those in opposition are wanting to remove all American history.
As the author of the series and the scripts, I am fully aware of what some critics think. But my thoughts are on what my heavenly Father thinks. When He had me write this story, He knew full well what was going to be happening right around the time our budget and schedule would be worked on. God is not surprised. He is raising up this story for such a time as this. We have to be brave enough to follow through and we are. It’s a new day and another day to keep moving forward. Like General Lee’s men guarding their leader, we have to guard our American dream. We have to make waves and not allow the naysayers to stop us from reaching the shore. If God be for us, who can be against us! Our God is an awesome God!
