“FORD EVERY STREAM”

I have been extremely stressed lately, for various reasons. Some of which are political and the horrific things I see going on in this beloved country of America. There are millions of critics and all with their own opinions. But, I have to forge my own path. I have to climb my own mountain, as the song by Rodgers and Hammerstein says,

“Climb ev’ry mountain
Search high and low
Follow ev’ry by-way
Every path you know

Climb ev’ry mountain
Ford ev’ry stream
Follow ev’ry rainbow
‘Till you find your dream

A dream that will need
All the love you can give
Everyday of your life
For as long as you live …”

This song will forever be a classic. It is so true we need to ford every stream, and follow every rainbow. We have to search high and low, and every path we know and even paths that we don’t know. Paths that are not familiar territory. We have to go sometimes off the beaten path and have the courage to face the unknown. Rivers do not run in a straight path. They twist; they turn; they rush over rocks and at times, they forge right through them and make something new out of the old. The times I feel I am up to my neck in rapids, I know that God will rescue me.

We have to keep following the paths, rainbows, rivers, mountains, and opinions – whether high or low, good or bad. We have to keep rowing our boat toward greatness! But, there is something so amazing in picking up the gold nuggets along the way that are called memories. These are treasures and I, for one, have grown so much as a person because of the story of Summer Ray. I may get weary of the time line…but I do not quit. There is a process to perfection, or as close to it as we can get! Give your dream all you’ve got! We are!!!
