This morning on my walk around the Gettysburg Battlefield, I wasn’t looking for 4 leaf clovers. I just wanted to walk and get some exercise. Usually, I only find one on my walk anyway and on one occasion I found three. Well, as you can see from the above picture, I found (21) 4-leaf clovers and (7) – 5 leaf clovers on a path I have NEVER walked before. Let me repeat that…”ON A PATH I HAVE NEVER WALKED BEFORE!” This path, is normally a horse path. I usually just walk on the pavement around the battlefield and some grass paths. This particular morning, it was misting – not raining. But, we had already walked an hour and just wanted to take a short cut to get to McDonald’s to get some breakfast.

This is the dirt path we took. It starts in front of the Trostle Farm and swings around and passes behind the Klingle Farm. As we were walking, I looked down and (1) four leaf lclover jumped out at me. So, I stopped to pick it up and lo and behold, I saw some more. But the ones I picked, were hiding others and some of those were 5 leaf clovers. I was esctactic. I knew this was not just an oridinary haul. This was God speaking to me. Many people think of 4-leaf clovers as “luck.” I think of them as “God’s grace” and His provision, timing and favor. I have spent many years on this battlefield walking and like I have posted many times before, I usually only find (1). A few weeks ago, I posted that I found (3) while going through a very hard situtation, wondering if I should continue on with what I have been doing.
Then today…I have to ponder all that happened.
1). I took a short cut on a path I have never taken before.
2). Without even looking, I found more of something in abundance.
I have been so against “short cuts” when it comes to this film production, even the mention of the word “short cut” sent me into a frenzy – ask Ed – he will tell you! Yet, now I have to wonder. What paths have I not yet taken that I need to take? Because that is where the abundance is; that is where God’s provision is and that is where He wants me to walk.
GOS PLEASE OPEN MY EYES TO YOUR PATH! IF IT’S A SHORT CUT, I WILL WALK THERE AND FIND GREAT ABUNDANCE FOR OUR PRODUCTION.
