There are days when I feel so pressured into getting stuff done that I wonder if I am getting anything done at all! But then like the above picture, printing out the script and after doing a few re-writes, I am thrilled with the progress. I think of an ice sculpture and how magnificent they turn out to be, once the ice sculptor is done with what once was a block of ice.
It may even takes weeks, or months before the ice sculpture begins to take shape. As a Figure Skater this sculpture is near and dear to my heart and it truly is amazing. But I wonder how long it took to create such a masterpiece. I wonder how long it took before as previously stated, before a cold block of ice became something so beautiful with such magnificent detail. People on the outside looking in, usually do not know what is being created. Some may even try to talk us out of our creations because they cannot see yet the finished product. DON’T LET THEM! Each chip off the top, and the sides by the skillful use of the tools is creating a masterpiece. Even if you cannot yet see the finish product, envision it. See it finished. See yourself and your film at your premiere. If there is one thing my Fiscal Sponsor has taught me and taught me well, is to see my film completed. She has taught me to see myself and my cast and crew and others at our first première. She has even taught me to envision the theatre. I have had many reasons to doubt.
