THE MEMOIRS OF SUMMER RAY

The closer I get to finishing the original book series, the more excited I am getting to start back on the film side of the project. My new class with our Fiscal Sponsor From the Heart Productions www.fromtheheartproductions.com starts in a few weeks. The 7th book will be ready to publish next week.

I will then have plenty of time to finish the 8th book. PRAISE GOD! Though I will always be a Yankee woman, this book cover brings me back to my Confederate roots. But the last statement, “We are indeed a country founded on God,” is the heart and soul of the story. It is not about one side or the other. It is about being an American, and remembering our patriotic and Christian founding. It is about remembering our history and not trying to erase it. In this picture I am standing at Pickett’s Charge. I have also walked it many times. This is where brave Confederate soldiers walked across an open field, with Yankee cannons blasting at them. Most of them died. But a few did make it across. Bravery, is still bravery, regardless of what you think of the Confederacy. Here in Gettysburg, they have tried to remove the Confederates from the town and off of the battlefield. A deranged protester went so far as to verbally attack a fifteen year old boy, honoring his Confederate 4x great-grandfather.

I refuse to bow down to the political woke garbage that has overtaken our beautiful country!

I will honor both sides of the Civil War. But in the story, I bring up some very hard truths about both sides as well. Our American history is not perfect. But those who are looking at our history 100 years from now, will also see some very hard truths. The Memoirs of Summer Ray is an historical fiction story. But as previously stated, it also has some very real and honest storylines woven into it. But it is still a story regardless. Summer Ray, is my way of trying to preserve what I can of our American history. But here in Gettysburg, the Virginia Monument with General Lee is still standing!
