Happy March 9th!
I am working on short “Animated Character Clips.” https://thememoirsofsummerray.com/animated-character-clips/.
This is to give an idea of the characters and how they will potentially look. Of course, they won’t be animated. But there will be a lot of special effects and CGI. A.I., technology is amazing. I don’t use it on the book covers. But I do use it for advertising and things like these clips.
I am half way to my goal of completing all the books by July 4th. Staying laser focused has helped tremendously, and a whole lot of prayer. I have had to learn to prioritize my time and say, “No,” to things that can be put off till a later date. But when I saw my boyfriend working with chatgpt and the images he was creating, I asked him to start making some of the characters. After being sick for so many weeks, it felt good to accomplish something. It cheered me up. I was feeling really useless because this time around, COVID left me extremely fatigued. I was in bed more than I was out of it. But thankfully, I am healing.
I am thinking about the 8th book, “The Portals of the Past.” It is about 150 pages so far. I am starting to get that excitement to being working on it. But books 5-7 have to be updated. See, I have to prioritize or I will derail. I have March and April to finish them and then the home stretch for the 8th book will be May and June! Then Wow! The entire book series will be finished. But then the episodes will have to begin later in the year. I am taking an intense “Write Your TV Series” class. If I can swing it for April I will. It all depends on how far along I am with the books. I literally cannot believe that I will finally be done with the book series in a few months. It is certainly bitter sweet. There are times when I do 2nd guess myself. “Should I have written about this?” Or “Should I have written about that?” But I cannot write about everything, nor do readers want so much crammed into a story or it will lose its flavor. Largo A.I. that did my script analysis, helped me (tremendously) to know that I was on the right path. Our Emotional Intensity score was 8/10. https://fromtheheartproductions.com/largo-ai-artificial-intelligence-film-analysis/. Here is my review on our fiscal sponsor’s website:
“I must thank Carole Dean of From the Heart Productions for giving her Fiscal Sponsorships, this amazing opportunity. At first, I panicked to have my script analyzed by Largo A.I. It took years to create and to have it put under a microscope was unnerving. But because I trusted Carole’s judgment, I went for it. The third time submitting the script was the winner! It was submitted as a pilot script for a series, and Wow! “I would say these results are fantastic!”
This analysis gives scriptwriters and filmmakers an incredibly solid foundation, in which to seek investors and to build our cast and crew. I highly recommend it.“
Yes! It is hard to put our hard work out there to be scrutinized. It is scary to have our work judged. But it is best to have that scrutiny, before we try to get our work seen. In the case of the books, this wasn’t so. It took over seventeen years for me to get them to where I finally feel that they are at their best. I am happy with the way they are turning out as they now have their own ISBNs, barcodes, and with my publishing logo as well. https://thememoirsofsummerray.com/the-summer-ray-books-authors-point-of-view/.
People have wondered why this book series has taken so long to complete. It is mostly because somewhere in the middle, I decided to write the screenplay. Which by the way, must have had a 1,000 rewrites too. But the Summer Ray story is in it’s final drafts. At least the screenplay and the books series are. The episodes, well that is a different skill set altogether, and there are new storylines to the live streaming series that are not in the books. It remains to be seen if other writers will be added to the episodes. I would certainly welcome them if need be. But I HAD to get the pilot script and the book series where it needed to be first. I am looking forward to launching a Summer Ray brand of soaps, lotions, etc., and to work on more of the craft side of things too. But first things first. I have to get the book series completed.
Thank you for being a part of our Summer Ray world.
