It is slow and steady back on the ice! But this is how it needs to be until I am fully recovered. I see this with the project as well. Updating the books is a very slow and steady process too. But rushing ahead, hurting myself, and overlooking mistakes, is seriously not the way to go. If there is one thing that I have learned with this project, is that rushing is not God’s best, as it doesn’t produce professional results. It produces setbacks! I have to take it slow on the ice. I have learned to see ahead and make a goal of where I want to be in that time frame. But with the help of my coach Cathy, we do set realistic goals. If I complete it before then, fantastic. It helps me to not get too terribly frustrated.
I keep thinking the books should be further along. Then I look at my goal sheet for 2026. My goal is to have the 8th and last book of the original series released on, July 04, 2026. It is only January 10th. Four of my “PRIORITY/MUST ASAP 2026” goals for the business part of the project, will be completed this month. Why? It is because I have them listed as a priority and they must be finished in order to move the project forward. I keep the index card right in front of me on my desk. This is so I don’t get off track and end up with needless delays. My next index card has other distribution platforms to add the books to, and film festivals listed to add the screenplay to this year. This is part of moving the project forward.
1). Finish all the books with the last one released on July 04, 2026
2). Add books to other distribution platforms
3). Submit script to Film Festivals
This is not all on my goal list, but definitely the highest priority.
