On the days when I am really struggling, little pieces of happiness like the above photo, puts a little bit of spark back into me. My film meeting with our Fiscal Sponsor yesterday was also pretty amazing. I will be taking a class for writing a TV series soon. The pilot screenplay is a two hour full feature film. If it is Live Streamed, it may end up as a Part I and Part II. I just don’t know yet. But we are absolutely moving forward and it is awesome. Writing a series with episodes, is a different skill than writing a one time feature film. Each episode has to build for the next. Summer Ray is so complex as it spans eight books. Plus, there are some things in the screenplay that are not in the books. They are implied. But not discussed. I saved that for the screen. I just read what a TV Series Bible is. https://industrialscripts.com/tv-show-bible/. I need one to pitch to distributors. I haven’t finished the 8th book yet and they will want to know the ending. Which I do have. I just need to fill in some of the middle chapters. But this bible is so structured and I know I can do it, but it will just be extremely intricate work. It will be like writing a college thesis. It will be as if this bible and the Pitch Deck grabs the attention of a network, or it doesn’t.
I wish I could lock myself in my apartment for the next six months and just learn, study, and write. But I can’t as life still has to be lived. However, I know I need to turn more of my attention now, to this part of the process. It isn’t an option. It is a must. So now, I have to structure my time better and get myself back into serious focus. I didn’t even know a TV Series Bible was a thing, until my meeting yesterday. God always and I mean always, points me in the direction I need to go, when I need to go there. Which means we are getting closer to production. But this bible is going to take some time as I have a few episodes to write, the class to take, the last book to finish. Yikes! Goals!!! I need to organize my time management, and just get this all done!
