THE MEMOIRS OF SUMMER RAY

New York City! What are you doing? There are cities I love and there are those I fell in love with. You are the latter. You are literally all throughout my Summer Ray Series! Why? It is because I loved you so much. But I guess there is always green screen technology that can replace the real thing, if we cannot film on location. Plus, there is past footage that we can buy and license. My heart breaks for you and my beloved Gettysburg. You are both following (sort of) the same destructive path. I cannot help but to talk about politics. The Democratic nominee in NYC wants to defund the police. What’s next, the FDNY? Life saving organizations that protect the city? There is a whole list he wants to do if elected, and none of it is life sustaining long term. I remember back in the early 90’s when I went to visit the FDNY. I was also in the Maryland fire service back then in. There were not a nicer bunch of guys anywhere! Many gave their lives during 911! Part of Summer Ray is also to honor them.

The Rockefeller Ice Rink – Wow! You are such a huge part of Summer’s story too.

NYC Mayor Republican nominee – Sliwa – founded the Guardian Angels. The city needs them now more than ever, including real ones! It is my deepest prayer that both NYC and Gettysburg, choose the best mayoral candidate in the November election. I am running as a Republican “write-in.” I love my town and its history. I need to at least try to be a turning point. If elected, I know that things won’t get fixed over night. But winning the election, will be a like a star shining brightly out of the darkness that has overtaken the town! I have a glimmer of hope – it will be the turning point. Truly, we are in desperate need of it! But it is up to the voters.
