It’s been a bit since I have written about skating. I have been off ice due to my health, the weather and then my Sammy (dog) hurt his hip. But I was faithful to still go to Physical Therapy and walk when I could. I am definitely stronger. But not out on the ice. If I wasn’t an athlete and trying to work my way back to the fitness level I was at before I got so sick, I would say, I am doing great and progressing toward getting better. But skating requires endurance, strength, and a lot of air support.

So, the thought of quitting the sport has sadly crossed my mind. But thankfully, it left as fast as it came. I don’t need to quit. I just need to make adjustments. I am good in terms of not being an athlete. But I am definitely not because I am. The illnesses slow me down. But I have very good days on top of bad ones. It’s been a battle but in many ways I (by the grace of God) am improving. So, I need to add strength training (even more) to my routine. I am adding three pound ankle weights when I walk. This will help strengthen my legs to have skates on. They are not light. Just taking it one day at a time. I am determined to be Summer Ray’s skating double in the film. We can even film it in sections. The program is about 2 1/2 minutes. But it will take several hours/days to shoot. I bring my CPAP with me to the rink and take a ten minute break in between on ice practice. Unless I won’t need it, I will be bringing it with me to the shoot. It is just what I have to do. Millions of us need a necessary prop or tool to help us in this journey called, “Life!” I had to swallow a lot of pride in order to accept that. But Summer Ray – well she is a different story! Speaking of which, the new edited books will be released soon. I am so excited because truly, I am feeling connected. That new logo added did it! It has been such a labor of love and having the heart over the hand, like the hand is offering love, Wow! Truly that is the heart of God! He is love and He offered it through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! (Please see/click on link below in “Reference“)

I am a Christian indeed. But I will not pitch this story as a Christian one. It is a faith-based series. There are a lot of things in this fictional story that Christianity frowns upon. But it is fiction mixed with non-fiction. I was once accused of promoting Satan. Which is simply not true. We are exposing him. You cannot have a faith based story – or one of good vs. evil – without the evil. So, we stay true to ourselves and to our story!
Till next time. Thank you for being a part of our Summer Ray world.
