I guess my first question should be, “What was I thinking?” I don’t know if it is normal for a book author to write the screenplays, or to be heavily involved in the producing and filmmaking part too. But I just felt it was something I also needed to do. We have now entered our 17th year of Summer Ray, and the final book cover in the series has finally been created.

I am still working on the front cover specs. This is for a hard cover and they are smaller than paperback covers. I may keep as is, or keep working on it. But the photo is definitely the one I will use. Author stuff is a lot of work, if you are a “self-publisher.” I have found the logo I want to use and I have added it (partially to the books). Here is a sneak peek at volume 1 This Fair and Blighted Land‘s, first page with the new logo.

I have made a lot of changes to the books (not the story) just the formatting. I added a “PROLOGUE” thanks to a book printer’s suggestion. It was written by Summer Ray. I actually cried it was so emotional. But isn’t that how drama’s are supposed to be? Our Largo AI script analysis report has an “Emotional Intensity” of an 8 out of 10, which are “fantastic” results. https://fromtheheartproductions.com/largo-ai-artificial-intelligence-film-analysis/. (Our Fiscal Sponsor is Carole Dean of From the Heart Productions www.fromtheheartproductions.com).
“Emotional Intensity Score reflects the intensity of emotional storytelling within the narrative. A higher score signifies a heightened intensity of positive and/or negative emotions, often correlating with increased user engagement. Conversely, a lower score may indicate a lack of emotional depth or a predominance of neutral storytelling. While there is no definitive formula for determining the ideal score, this metric aids in understanding the content’s positioning relative to other films.“
We ran the report three times. But it wasn’t until it was analyzed as a series that the scores came back with “fantastic” results. The scores were definitely higher as well as the revenue. So, it was then I knew we were finally on the right track and not wandering aimlessly. Carole is very adamant about being “intentional,” and in “setting goals.” The script took close to ten years to finally be ready for production. With the Largo report as good as it is, there is no need for any more rewrites. This is a tremendous load off of us. I didn’t know when I set off to add the books to a broader distribution platform, all that it would entail – “involve (something) as a necessary or inevitable part or consequence.” But when I see the amazing changes that are literally making the books better, I simply cannot complain. I just keep working on them and soon they will be ready. Right now, they are still on Amazon. https://thememoirsofsummerray.com/the-summer-ray-book-series/. If you click on this link and then on the book covers, you will see them on Amazon. I will keep them at both until the new books are added. It is like we are switching them from the old to the new. But I also believe by adding the volume number to the front of the book as opposed to the back of the book, it will stop any confusion about the order they are in.
That is all for the current updates. Thank you for being a part of our Summer Ray world.
