I wish the project was beyond where we are right now. I wish my health was beyond where it is right now. But it is a very slow process toward these goals. If I push too far ahead, I fall back further than where we are right now. I have to find the balance and it’s not easy to figure out.

My Behavioral Counselor told me the same thing. You cannot give too much of yourself to one thing, and then overload yourself with something else. Although there are a lot of things I want to be working on with the film side of Summer Ray, I have to get the books corrected first and then to their new distribution platform. But it is time consuming. I have to change the margins, fonts etc. But this means a lot of editing and I feel like I am dragging behind because of it. But I have to remember that I am not behind, if I am doing something to move the project forward. Someone else is working on the “Pitch Deck,” so the film part is still being worked on. We also have a meeting with our George Washington at Valley Forge, for some video clips and a photo shoot. I may want my health back from before COVID. I may want to already have the books on their new platform. I may want to have everything all lined up ready for pitching investors. But the scripture that comes to mind is
1 Corinthians 14:40:
“All things should be done in the right way, one after the other.” (NLV)
“Let all things be done decently and in order.”( KJ21)
Going out of order is like putting the cart before the horse.

Horses are strong enough to push the carriage from behind, but there would no direction. The carriage (in the above photo) would fall into the water, or fall over and break. It would be a dead end for sure! This is also why we must be cautious to do things with decency and order so it is not chaotic. Slow progress, is still progress and that is what the focus needs to be on. We are not doing things backwards, or out of order. We are slowly making our way towards production and it is awesome! See, I just wrote myself happy!
