December 19th, I wrote about vison boards. https://thememoirsofsummerray.com/2024/12/19/make-it-plain/. In keeping with my own advice, I ordered a book “2025 Vision Board Clip Art Book.” https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQJXFXSC. One of my biggest problems with this vision board is knowing where to start. I am so busy as it is and the thought of trying to locate a lot of stuff to add to it, was more like a a chore than an adventure. I didn’t know books like the above existed. But thankfully, God did and He led me to quite a few that I could order off Amazon. I can get started with my 2025 vision board as soon as it arrives. So, why is this important? I am very scattered in my thoughts. I have a lot of things that I want to accomplish. But I need to do better at focusing. I want to get my strength back, so I can get back to skating more to work on my program for the film. But I also know I cannot go faster than what my body will allow me. Healing is taking time and patience that I am being forced to learn. Generally, I go at warp speed and it is hard for me to slow down. But I have set goals in my mind for 2025 – 2027.
I just want it to be 2027 now and have the film distributed. However, it might not be until 2028 before the film is distributed and I have to be okay with God’s plan, which ultimately, I am. Still, to get from point A to point Z, one must have a map to follow.

I do believe this new vision board is God’s way of showing me how to remain constant in my destination. I may want to do other things but those are distractions that I need to put off till a later time. The first priority, is getting this pilot made and distributed. I believe that 2025 is a year to tie up loose ends; to get things in order and be ready to pitch; promote the book series by doing a lot of marketing via new distribution platforms and book signings. It might seem at a super slow pace, but I have an entire year to work on these goals. I have to keep reminding myself of that. It doesn’t mean that things won’t happen faster as sometimes they do. It just means I am going to do my part in making sure, I am doing what I need to be doing to keep moving this project forward. Once the Pitch Deck is completed, I will be updating the budget to match the updated script. Everything must be done in a manner of professionalism. I cannot be accurate in what we need financially with an old budget. I am pretty sure we will need more funding with the new script. I cannot make something plain, clear and to the point, if I do not have the right information. So, as previously stated, the budget will be the next step we must cross before we approach any investor.
“Let all things be done decently and in order.” 1 Corinthians 14:40 (KJV)
I do not want to waste anyone’s time and possibly have them lose interest in our project. I know I will do well pitching, provided I am able to use visuals. I am a visual learner and in order to express what I really want to, I will need to do a presentation. But it can also be in a package form and sent out. So, when someone asks, I want to able to say, “Yes! I will send that information right over!” There are a few more pieces to the puzzle that also must be put in place; the business plan; proposal etc. Then it will be off to film festivals, especially the American Film Market https://americanfilmmarket.com/. This can be put on the goal list for 2026. I do not see this happening in 2025. But putting it out there as a future goal, keeps it in focus. This is so I don’t overwhelm and overload myself with unnecessary burdens.
“So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.” Matthew 6:34 (AMPC)
I absolutely believe the wait for the Live Action/Live Streaming of the pilot, will be worth it. It will set the stage for the rest of the series as the grand entrance. It isn’t something I take lightly!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
