GOD GIVEN PATH!

I didn’t think I would be pitching this project for several more months. I have been in a “Pitch Me” class with Carole Dean of From the Heart Productions. (For more information, please visit, https://fromtheheartproductions.com/the-passionate-pitch/). I have been fiscally sponsored by FTH for an estimate the last eight years, possibly more. Carole has a world of film funding information and so much more. If you are an Indie filmmaker, I would encourage you to research FTH www.fromtheheartproductions.com! I have always said , well mostly here of late that this projects progression is in God’s timing. I have complete confidence in this project. Meaning, I no longer have a lack of settling in my stomach. I am very concrete now in my convictions that this project is finally ready to be pitched. I have studied for years about what it will take to stand in front of an audience pitching this project, hoping to convince people to either donate or invest in it. But that came with a lot of rewrites of the script and “tenacity.” Carole once told me, “tenacity is the backbone of a filmmaker.” It is defined as, “the quality or fact of being able to grip something firmly; the quality or fact of being very determined; the quality or fact of continuing to exist; firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition; perseverance, persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.” I never could let this project go, in spite of all its difficulties in getting where we are today. I just knew it was my God given path to walk. I am thankful I have been able to blog part of this journey since 2017. The project started in 2009. But it took several years for me to understand how a website worked and which one was best for the project. But now to date, there are 451 published blogs and this one will make 452. I plan to, at some point, put them in a book of their own. I want to be able to encourage – “give support, confidence, or hope” to others in this business, but really to anyone who just needs some encouragement.

But I will also say this. In the beginning of writing the story and what started out as a grand adventure in the entertainment business, things suddenly took a horrendous – “extremely unpleasant, horrifying, or terrible” detour. Back in 2014, I wrote the book: SUMMER RAY No Matter What!!! (TO VIEW the books below just click on the book cover).

Once on the brink of suicide, and with just seconds to spare, God intervened on my behalf. I was brought back from utter despair, of the trauma and nightmare I was living with, due to a brain injury. If you or someone you know is struggling with giving up; is deep in depression; facing PTSD; OCD or Traumatic Brain Injury, this book is a must read. Have you ever had a dream so big you knew it was literally impossible to see come true? Are you at the point of giving up because that mountain in front of you, is so high, you know you definitely cannot climb it? Do you feel completely crazy for even having the nerve to think such outlandish thoughts that you could actually make it? Then this book is for you. Welcome to the club of crazy dreamers who dare to be different. If I can overcome the odds, then so can you.

I know I will need to update it here soon. But I am still in the world of the “crazy dreamers who dare to be different!” Because I am still with the project. I was also part of an amazing eBook with our fiscal sponsor.

EXTRAORDINARY FILMMAKERS

HOW TO MAKE FILMS AGAINST ALL ODDS

I have been working on this project for 16 years. We start our 17th one in February. You have to have that bull dog tenacity that you will not let go. You will continue to bite down and keep a steady grip on the project until completion. But with Summer Ray, I am going to be pitching to our pitch me class in a few weeks. This is how close we are to pitching to investors, donors, and others who are needed to come on board. I am confident. I am getting myself ready and reading again, THE POWER OF THE PITCH! WE MUST BE PREPARED to make a good first impression, or we might not get a 2nd chance!
