While working on the final edits for the original books, I needed to take a break. So, I went back up to where it all began, Big Round Top on the Gettysburg Battlefield!

In February of 2025, it will be 16 years of working on Summer Ray. It is hard to believe that what started out as me slipping and falling on a path that was covered in ice and snow, would turn out to be such a huge project! I had no idea. But what did I expect to happen? I had climbed up a mountain covered in ice and snow. Of course, I was going to slip and fall.

But again, I had no idea what it was all about, until I got to the bottom. I had three of the main characters in my mind and I knew I was going to write a story about someone called Summer, Colonel McDaniels and Billy! But here we are, five months from 16 years and there are well over 100 characters plus extras. The thought that I have stayed with this project for so long, during the storms of life and those who I thought were right for the project and left, can only mean that God is with me! While editing, I was crying because there are some very sad parts in this series. A lot I have forgotten about. So, editing is like reading the story for the first time. I am only on the 4th book, and I keep thinking, “I am bringing to life what needs to be seen about Satan!” Honestly, when you get to the absolute core of the story that is it. It isn’t the romance, or the adventures, or the drama! Those are just ways to weave in the truth about Heaven and Hell, and good vs. evil! Those are ways to keep the audience engaged, so they can get to the core and perhaps change their life for the better. The script has a pretty high emotional intensity rating. Which is awesome! This means, the audience will be emotionally engaged while watching the film and will want to know what happens next. As the story progresses, that number will go up even higher because the emotional intensity increases. But this has given me inspiration to finish the last book, “The Portals of the Past.”
So onward!
