I am happy to see that things are finally starting to shape up and come into focus. It is extraordinary to be able to get the vision off the paper, and into a real live scene. The books are slowly getting their makeovers, but the first one – This Fair and Blighted Land is finished https://thememoirsofsummerray.com/the-summer-ray-book-series/. Transitions are very time consuming. It is like redoing old furniture. Someone might just throw it out and leave for the garbage truck, if they do not see its potential – “having or showing the capacity to become or develop into something in the future.” I always knew that Summer Ray had potential. God was just in the process of developing that potential. The “development” stage of a film is much like a roll of film in a dark room. Things take time to process and if too much exposure happens before the picture is ready, it could ruin it. I think that we have been in a dark room, in development of our project. We have not had much exposure because the project hasn’t been ready for it. I haven’t been ready for it. The books were not ready for it. So, we need to be grateful for the dark rooms in life, where God is developing our visions.
Another example, is being a clump of clay on a potter’s wheel.

“Yet, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay,
and You our Potter, and we all are the work of Your hand.” Isaiah 64:8 (AMPC)
I have seen how clay gets dumped onto the wheel, smashed, pulled, smashed again, covered in water, spun around, smashed some more and finally, after all of that the intentional piece, like a vase, begins to take shape. We are also finally starting to take shape and I thank God for it. At some point, once this film is in distribution, I am going to go back and read over the blogs and put them in a devotional. This is the 443rd blog I have written over the years. This has not been an easy road and if I can help other authors, scriptwriters and filmmakers in their journey to distribution, I absolutely want to. It may end up being over five or six hundred blogs, by the time we are at the distribution stage. I do not know. I only know, we are finally starting to see what the film and the story of Summer Ray is becoming on a live screen. It is truly awesome. But there is still a lot of to work to be done!
Thank you for being a part of our Summer Ray world.
