Wow! It is looking like we are going the “live stream” route for distribution. The budget isn’t high enough for a profitable theater release. We can, however, do screenings in theaters. But this is very exciting because the financials are so much higher with a live stream distribution. For investors, it is all about the money. But the more viewers there are, the more the story gets watched and ultimately, that is the goal. We will be running a new report just with “live stream,” to see how the numbers differ from “live stream” and “box office” combined. Next, we will be working on the Pitch Deck. “A film pitch deck is a concise, visually engaging presentation used by filmmakers to showcase their movie concept. Thankfully, I will be working with an expert on this through our Fiscal Sponsor From the Heat Productions. www.fromtheheartproductions.com . The pilot will be a two hour premiere. Then the episodes will drop to sixty minutes.
Suddenly, I feel extremely overwhelmed because I am still working on finishing the 8th book, revamping the original books, getting JLove Publishing operational, etc. With the pitch deck, I will need several of the outlines for the episodes to start with. This deck can be given to potential investors, producers, directors, cast and crew. The report can be given to potential casting directors because it shows actors that are comparable to the characters. But in terms of casting, I will also have a say in who is cast. So, I have the next steps and those are what I am concentrating on. It is so exciting because we finally have the direction we need to go. If you have followed these blogs over the years, you would know my heart was set on only a theater release. I had a very specific reason for this. But for the good of the project, I will do what I need to, to make it a smashing success!
The fact that I am actually working on getting the pitch deck started, shows just how close we are to pitching investors and getting to production. It is scary, not going to lie. But I absolutely trust and believe in the story of Summer Ray. I know those attached to the project, will help to make it extraordinary.
