First, I need to say, “Thank You, God,” and “Thank you to Content 2024.” I am now just waiting to see about the book trailer. This one was a little nerve wracking, as I adapted the script from the new memoirs book. Which, in all honestly, I think it is the best one yet. It shows so much more of Summer Ray’s struggles, via her point of view and also using some voice over. I wasn’t sure if this new script would be nominated. But it was and I am still in the, “Did this just happen?” stage. But I have to get my head out of the clouds and get back to work.
I have been reading a book for research:

I am literally blown away by the amount of work that has gone into writing this book. The amount of information is astonishing. But I came across a story about a Union soldier by the name of John Edmunds. I won’t go into how he died. But because he is buried in the Gettysburg National Cemetery, of course, I HAD to go and visit him.

That is Jason doing some more research on his phone. It was about 99 degrees out with high humidity, and probably close to what it was back in July 1863. I am not sure if one’s imagination can even comprehend what took place here during the Battle of Gettysburg. But it isn’t for the faint of heart that I am sure of. But sitting at John Edmunds grave, I was just numb because I knew how he died and it was horrific. He was mortally wounded not from where Jason was kneeling. I forget this national cemetery was not there during the battle. But I just sat with John Edmunds and looked around at the other graves of other Civil War soldiers, wondering about their stories too. Summer Ray is written in part, to remember our soldiers past, present and future!
I hope to finish this 8th book by the end of summer. I have a lot more research to do. But over 100 pages are written so far and that is a good start. I expect it to be somewhere between 250-350 pages. Onward!
Thank you for being a part of our Summer Ray world.
