THE MEMOIRS OF SUMMER RAY

I never would have thought in a million years that I would actually be writing, “The Memoirs of Summer Ray.” This new series is written, in Summer Ray’s first person point of view and I got to say, “I am in love with it!” I know the difference between loving someone, and being in love with someone. I know the first series was needed and still highly recommend that it be read first, as it lays a very solid foundation. But WOW! When you go back and read it from Summer’s emotions and stand points, it takes the series to a whole new level.

For which, I am over the top excited. I actually should have the first book finished within the next few weeks. It is based on This Fair and Blighted Land. But I think waiting for it, will be like the grand finale! I have a lot to get done and I am steadily working on it. The new short video will be submitted to film festivals. But the script? With the new series in Summer’s point of view, I have a thousand ideas spinning around in my head. I can see the script also take on a whole new level and I am somewhat freaked out about it. It is like my figure skating. I cannot get to the next level, unless a solid foundation is built on the previous one.

But I told the Lord, I would do this His way. I didn’t expect to have to write a new series. But I can see the depth of it and why it is so necessary. But it does change things with the script. It changes a lot in fact. I now need to figure out the length; if it is going to have a theater release for the pilot; or if it will just be a series for TV viewing. The first script is 124 pages. If I change it to the new specs of the series, it will be closer to 200 pages. So, I need to sit down and cautiously think about how this is to be done. Getting it from my thoughts to paper, is a different skill altogether. I also need to do some script research to make sure I am doing it right. But if I need to act fast, if I want to meet a few of the film festival deadlines that are coming up.
