THE MEMOIRS OF SUMMER RAY

First let me say, “Happy New Year!” I am so looking forward to 2024 and all of the amazing things in store. I have been watching the movie Hidden Figures for weeks now. I watch it two or three times a week. Here is the link to the trailer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RK8xHq6dfAo The movie is about how we first went into space and all it took to get us there. There is a sentence that has stuck with me and it had something to do with vision and already being where we needed to be, via our mind and imagination. I can physically see us at the pilot’s premiere. I can hear it. I can envision it. So in my thoughts, we are already there too! But my declarations must match my thought process. So, it is just figuring out what is in between the here and the already there point. Hidden Figures has a great deal to do with mathematics and calculating measurements that HAD to be “spot on.” There is also a line at the beginning about seeing potential (paraphrasing) and doing what needed to be done to reach that potential. It is defined as, “having or showing the capacity to become or develop into something in the future.” What can I become in the future? What can Summer Ray become in the future? What can it develop into? What capacity does it have to reach the stars like a rocket can? I am absolutely enthralled with space. I look up at the stars because it makes me feel like there is so much more out there, and that with God’s help the possibilities are endless.

I am at the same time reading a book by Dr. Bill Winston titled: “Transform Your Thinking, Transform Your Life.”

If I did not think this project has potential, I wouldn’t be working on it. But there is a lot to process on a daily basis. I am not just the author of the Summer Ray book series, https://thememoirsofsummerray.com/the-summer-ray-book-series/, I am also the script writer and part owner of the film company, SostarSun Productions. A lot of weight is on my shoulders to get this right. But I have to be right in my mind, my body and in my emotions first. I have to KNOW that I KNOW that I KNOW, I am doing exactly what God wants me to be doing. I have no doubt. The dream is far bigger than my present film bank account. But my mind has to be expanded, to see the funding in that account, to know that we can move forward with the project to distribution. I have to already be at the premiere and do what it will take to get us there. But when you have the destination, the mapping out the directions and activating those directions should not be hard. But without faith, it is hard, very hard and many give up!

I learned today about activating via Fiona. Activate is defined as, “make (something) active or operative; turn on; switch on.” Unless our phones are activated by the phone company, they will not work. Unless our electricity is also turned on, there is no electricity to charge said phone. All of these things need activations to actively work or we are dead in the water going nowhere. Nope! I take that back. We are at that point, at the mercy of the elements and waves trying to capsize our dreams. So, I am having to adjust my thinking to what I need to be doing, to keep this project turned on and out of danger, denials, and delays. I trust with ALL my heart that God is with our project. I have no doubt that we will get to our premiere. So once again, I have to adjust my thoughts, schedule, declarations, and my activations, and work toward consistent behavior that will get us there. For instance: Take a look at the picture below. This is how dedicated I am to my sport of Figure Skating and how important my skating program in the film is.

This is me having to wear a CPAP, to help keep my airway open when I skate. It’s too long of a story but I have been battling an injury and COVID that made my symptoms worse – to this point! It’s not pretty and I do not want anyone’s pity. I want to show people that it is okay do what needs to be done to get better. I am so determined to skate that I will do whatever I need to do, to lace up and get myself on the ice. I have a destination with the film, and I have a destination with Adult Figure Skating Championships.

But without this breathing assistance, I am at the mercy of capsizing. COLD HARD FACTS!
