THE MEMOIRS OF SUMMER RAY

So, I spent the last month editing the book series. https://thememoirsofsummerray.com/the-summer-ray-book-series/. But it was important for me to take notes, so that I can connect the dots in the 8th and final book, The Passages of Time. Right now, it is only 112 pages. But there is so much that needs to be linked together. I suspect it will be around 350 – 400 pages. This will take some time. I do know the ending which I will not reveal. But all of this helps to start the episodes. The pilot is ready to go and we are waiting for the film festival in Texas and their nominations. I plan to enter the script and Proof of Concept video in many more festivals. But the one in Texas is near and dear to my heart. It’s a Christian one and Summer Ray is a faith based story.

The books have been the guideline for the scripts. I needed them to help guide me throughout the pilot, and I have a pretty solid base now as to where the story is going. It doesn’t follow the books verbatim. Which is okay too! But if you have followed along with the blogs, you know this story has been an incredible journey. I had no way of knowing when I first climbed up Big Round Top in the dead of winter what new life was about to be born.

Nor did I know how the story would evolve and grow into what it is today. This is my 396th blog, and it’s been a great adventure sharing our milestones and progress with you. I started with this first book and it’s actually the only copy I have, to the picture of the 2nd book cover, Savannah’s Calling below (which is my favorite).

The point is, we grew. We went through a lot of changes because we got better at the photography and learning about editing. I also learned more about our American history. Plus, in the midst of writing the books, I was also involved with writing the script and learning from our Fiscal Sponsor – Carole Dean of From the Heart Productions. www.fromtheheartproductions.com. God did not tell me what the state of the world would be in the future, when I sat down to write that first book. But He knew and it is interwoven into the storylines. With the 8th and final book being written, it is exciting to see where we started, to where we are now. But this is only the beginning because soon we will start production of the pilot. So, it is like one era is ending and a new one is beginning. I have grown very fond of my characters. I have laughed with them, hoped with them, cried with them, felt their despair, and have had great anticipation with them. Someday, when it’s all said and done, I will create a devotional out of all of my blogs from start to finish. This is in hopes of being able to inspire others to not quit the dream God had laid on their hearts. WHY? Because “all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark9:23 (NKJV). “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Luke 1:37 (KJV) So, please do not think you cannot achieve your dreams. But remember, “For a dream comes through much activity.” Ecclesiastes 5:3 (NKJV).
