I have learned over the years not to try and run ahead of God’s timing and His plan. Believe me when I did, I screwed up big and paid for it dearly. Isaiah 60:22 (CSB) states, “I am the Lord; I will accomplish it quickly in its time.” Meaning, when it is time for our film project to start production, God will make sure He will accomplish at that it needs beforehand, and when the time is right, it will happen fast! We have just recently reformatted our film company. Our Director, A.C. Morgan, and another actor Jason Shindledecker are both now partial owners of SostarSun Productions.
This is a monumental change, and I am so looking forward to many more years working with them.
They both have been instrumental in helping our project get to where it is, and how we are reaching new heights. Like the phoenix in our logo, we are rising from the ashes. The neat thing about the phoenix is that it is associated with the sun – which I just found out. With sun in our production name, I feel we are absolutely meant to bring light to a dark and hurting world.
With the writers strike and the SAG/AFTRA strike going on, many productions have halted and its a hard time in the entertainment industry. Thankfully, we have not yet started production. I am hoping and praying they can reach agreements that will benefit all involved and soon. In the meantime, we are steadily working on our project and taking each step and moving forward. I am also finishing up the edits on the books, to match the pilot a little better. The script doesn’t follow the first book verbatim. But we made a few changes that definitely needed to be added to the books.
Speaking of timing, I remember freaking out when they closed Little Round Top
and Devil’s Den in Gettysburg for repairs.
Both of these places are in the pilot. But they have made them better! Timing is in God’s hand as far as when our production starts. He knows when the funding needs to be in place and how it will get to us. He isn’t going to fail this project. It belongs to Him! Right now, the next step for us is to get to Delaware and open our business bank account. Of course, it is close to Bethany Beach! I am also opening a PO Box there as well, so we will have a Delaware address. PROGRESS!
