A STRIKING RESEMBLANCE!

I really love the above picture, because it shows beautifully my point on “reflection.” I have spent YEARS working improving the books. I love this image of Savanna’s Calling. It is my favorite cover in the series. She is looking south toward Savannah.

But this cover didn’t always look like this. It went through several upgrades to get it to this point. Data is always changing; like email addresses, or having to add another book to my author list. But when I go back in an edit the books, I find ways to clean them up a bit and/or add a few more tidbits to expand the story a little more. WHAT AM I THINKING? Well, I am always thinking of how can I make things better. I have done this with the pilot script as well. It took around eight years to finally lock it down. This doesn’t mean our director won’t have to tweak it here and there. But for the most part, it is film festival ready! So, I am submitting it globally. This is why I am adamant about making sure the books, are as close to the best they can be as possible. This requires, a lot of going the extra mile kind of work. But it is worth it to me to put our best out there. When I went in to book 5, I had a few things to fix that I thought already were. Or maybe I was just tired and forgot to save the updated manuscript. But whatever the reason, the books are cleaned up and I am happy with them. I am still working on the 8th book. We will do a relaunch here soon of the first 7 books. Or maybe just the first one. I don’t know. Marketing isn’t my forte. But I am learning and studying how to market books and redoing a lot of my Amazon categories etc. It’s a lot of work. But there again, it is a reflection of what the film will look like. I don’t want anyone thinking the film will be bad, if the books are not in quality condition. But the two are linked. I took the time to change one of the characters in the books to being Deaf, because we did this in the script. I had to maintain consistency. But there again, it took going that extra mile. I didn’t want my book readers to be upset, if they saw this character in the film was Deaf, and not in the books. I respect the Deaf community far too much. Seriously, we must be professional in our work and in how we treat other people.

The first picture is stunning and it also is shown in the reflection in the water. I want our reflections to be just as pristine, spectacular and impressive. I want there is be a striking resemblance of excellence in our work. This is why I am, once again, adamant about always improving my craft. It is exhausting at times. But is that an excuse not to give our best? NOPE!
