The issue isn’t God’s ability to do the impossible. It is our ability to believe it. I had zero understanding of what I was getting myself in for, the day I started to write the Summer Ray book series. https://thememoirsofsummerray.com/the-summer-ray-book-series/. I did not know back in 2009 that the story would evolve the way it has. I KNEW it was going to be made into a film. I just didn’t know there would be more than one – or a made for TV series after the pilot. I just had to keep following God’s leading. I had to “go out on a limb.” In one quote it said because, “that’s where the fruit is.”

Every step of the way, I have put my faith in God. I have no idea how we are going to raise the funding. But God does. Is it stressful? It shouldn’t be.

“You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.” Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)

But far too often, I let the “What if’s” and the “How am I going to do this,” get in the way. My mind shouldn’t be stayed on those issues. God already knows how HE is going to provide our funding. I just have to keep doing the next steps that I know to do. I need to polish up the books and work on the 8th volume. There is a lot more to add to it, that I didn’t know at first I needed to. But some of it, requires I get very prayed up and do some research. When I had to name the demons in the first book, it took me to a very dark place. I don’t want to go there again. So, I have learned, I need to be more in God’s light. In order to expose darkness, you have to be willing to go there. But first, at least for me, I am going to be reading Psalms 91 over and over again.

I was actually kind of shocked that this book, requires me to dig deeper into some things. But as stated, in order to expose it – I have to know it. I didn’t say practice it. I said to know it. I do not recommend you do this, unless you already have an understanding of Spiritual Warfare. It’s kind of like the Screwtape Letters written by C.S. Lewis. We have to become our characters, in order to bring out their purpose in our stories. Some of those characters are not always pleasant and they shouldn’t be. The 8th book is where the final conflicts arise. But it won’t be released right away. The pilot needs to be released first in theaters. I may even add a sequel or prequel before the 8th book is published. The Gatekeepers Log is still a mystery too. But there are so many other ways, to spin off the first series. I am actually very excited about it. But it is still a tremendous amount of added work. But the possibilities are there, and that should make investors very happy. We will get it done! This is a team effort and I trust that God will provide our funding – His way and in His timing. This has been a very hard lesson for me to learn. But His timing has always proven to be perfect. I have written blogs of the journey we have been on. So far, including this one – 388. Eventually, they will all be put in a devotional to help other film makers/screenplay writers, in their own journeys. I want to help others to not give up and to go on to become successful.
