GOD’S IMAGINATION!

After feeling like I couldn’t possibly be stretched any further or I would I literally snap, God showed me one of the books with a white border, around the already mirrored border. I didn’t want to go back to editing again. I wanted to move forward. But I did it anyway. Of course, God is always right!

There is a story in the Bible I responded with, when the Lord showed me I needed to add the white border, “Lord, I have toiled all night and caught nothing.” I was at my snapping point, my breaking point, and my, “I just really don’t have the energy to do one more edit.” But at His leading, I added the border.

But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.” Luke 5:5-6 (NKJV)

I am very happy with how the book covers are turning out. Of course, God was right. But I needed to trust Him. Finally, I can move forward. I have felt like I was stuck for over six months. Well, actually I was. I had to get the first and second books right because they are the literal foundation for the entire series. I didn’t know that I was going to have to redo them again. But thankfully, there were only two book covers to change. So, now we can move on to the next book. There have been a lot of upgrades to the book covers; design, ISBN’s, barcodes, a picture or two, my author photo and logo. There are also upgrades to the inside of the books; cream color paper, and small picture or icon. Plus, some of the books have had additional pages added. Thankfully, I am about half way finished writing the last book. I know I said this before and I will keep saying it, “I do get weary. But I never get tired of the story.” I believe it is how we present our products to the world that are extremely important.

I recently wrote another blog about the perseverance of the Wright Brothers and Thomas Edison. They didn’t give up until they accomplished what they set out to do. https://thememoirsofsummerray.com/2025/12/12/at-the-proper-time/. If you have read along with my blogs, over the years, I have talked about George Washington and the Continental Army crossing the Delaware River, in the a blinding ice and snow storm.

“Perseverance accomplished what at first seemed impossible.”

Colonel Henry Knox

Continental Army; American Revolution

What is the purpose of all of this? “And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish.”

Jesus stated, “Come after Me [as disciples—letting Me be your Guide], follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men!”

Matthew 4:19 (AMPC)

The focal point of Summer Ray, is to help bring people to Jesus through the written books, and visually on screen. But sadly, I cannot pitch this story as a “Christian” one. But rather, “faith-based.” However, I am fine with that because God is still being honored. I think far too many Christians have become religious, and do not feel we should use our imaginations to save souls. I look at creation and it is all about God’s imagination!

The above photo is God’s imagination. I was stunned by it’s beauty and had to capture it. Grant it, Summer Ray is historical/fiction. But I used my imagination to create something that can hopefully lead a lost soul to Jesus. The first two books are available via: Kindle, paperback, and hardback copies. If you click on the link, you can then click on the book covers that will take you to Amazon to view. https://thememoirsofsummerray.com/the-summer-ray-books-authors-point-of-view/

Thank you for being a part of our Summer Ray universe. I have a whole list of what needs to be done in 2026. My goals are ready and so am I.

God Bless You and Yours!

I wish you the happiest of holidays; a very Merry Christmas and happy Happy New Year!
