I am not sure how this all relates to the project. But I am sure it does in some way. My old bookshelves, we finally got rid of. The problem, we didn’t immediately buy new ones. So, all my books and craft stuff ended up on the floor – neatly at first. Then the pile grew and buying new bookshelves were low on the priority list as our dog has needed, at times, weekly vet care. Then due to the weather changing colder here on the East Coast, I started making my hat and scarves sets again. All that yarn had to go on the floor in boxes. I also have this habit that I have had since I was able to hold a pen in my hand of writing on everything. Which also ended up on the floor. I hated to throw anything out, because some of my scribbles also had thoughts about Summer Ray. It wasn’t a Mt. Everest kind of mound as the pile wasn’t too terribly high. But it was still high enough to cause a lot of chaos as the cats would run through it. I was just getting more and more defeated, unorganized, and I was fighting a losing battle of time management. But I also couldn’t get the new recliners that we wanted because there was no room to put them.
Dealing with my beloved Sammy’s health issues, I just didn’t have the motivation to do anything!

But I knew something had to be done. So, for my birthday present, I went out and bought a new bookshelf. The huge pile is already half cleaned and it will be gone by the end of the day. What I thought would take months, literally will take just one day – a few hours of one day to be exact. Then I realized that the mess had to be cleaned up before something new could fit there – like our recliners. I immediately thought of Summer Ray. What do I need to fix and then get out of the way for something new to be put in place? I then thought of the book series. I am upgrading the books covers as well as updating the inside. Nothing can be done until those are completed. The Pitch Deck that I keep mentioning are like my recliners. I couldn’t buy them until there was room. So, I had to get the mess cleaned up first. But what fascinated me was how fast God helped me get the mess cleaned up. Once I had the bookshelf (thank you Jason for putting it together), it was instant that I started putting my books, craft supplies, and yarn on the shelves. I still need another matching bookshelf. But it’s a start.
I am encouraged in that things will happen fast with the Summer Ray books & film project, once certain things are in their proper place and in order. The Bible states that,
“God is not a God of disorder but of peace.” 1 Corinthians 14:33 (CSB).
“Disorder” is defined as, “disrupt the systematic function of; confusion.” God has His systematic thoughts of how He wants this project to move forward. But just like my home, if I disrupt, “to prevent something from continuing as usual or as expected, or to change the traditional way that an industry operates,” then things are delayed. But I also believe that in His perfect timing, He helps me to get done what I need to. This is so things can move forward again in order, without any confusion on what to do, and peacefully. It is actually very exciting.
Happy 63rd birthday to my beloved twin brother, Mike!
