THE MEMOIRS OF SUMMER RAY

I have been with Summer Ray for over sixteen years. When I think of the amount of work that has been done, and the work that still needs to be done until the final, “The End,” it does get intimidating. I have no idea how it will all get accomplished. I only know what is right in front of me and that is to get the books all updated; the 8th volume completed; the Pitch Deck completed; and the memoirs written in Summer Ray’s first person point of view. It’s nuts! But the memoirs are what the scripts are based on. So, after the original series is finished, the Pitch Deck will be next. “A pitch deck is a slide-based presentation used by producers and filmmakers to communicate a project’s vision, market potential, and financial plan to investors and studios.” I have the two hour full feature pilot ready to go. We do have a little breathing room before the episodes have to start being written. The back and forth from books to film is hard. It is a lot slower for sure, to see any finished products. But I still have to trust that God’s timing is perfect. He knows me. He knows my quirks. He knows my scattered thoughts. He knows when I have had to pay for emergency vet visits for my Sammy.

When that money was supposed to pay for an ISBN or Barcode! I am not funded yet. So, everything is paid still out of pocket. But God knows that too. I can only go as fast as the money allows me. It doesn’t mean that I am sitting around twiddling my thumbs. There are books to edit and that doesn’t cost anything. There are crafts to make that I can add to the website. (Mental Health time). I have a lot to do. But writing, doesn’t cost me a dime. I just get tired of editing. Talk about tedious – “too long, slow, or dull; tiresome or monotonous.” I used to send my books out for editing. It was expensive for sure. But different editors said different things and finally I gave up. Now I do the edits myself. I am sure there are errors. But I have tried very hard to keep them to a minimum. I want to make sure the inside is as polished as the outside. Excellence comes with a cost. I do not want something that someone pays for to be mediocre. I care about readers where the books are concerned. I care about those who will see the live action side of things. These are not things I am just throwing together in hopes of it turning out. It would be a terrible injustice to those this story is sent to help!

The expected original series to be completed is March 2026, that gives me six months. Adam is such a genius. He will have the Pitch Deck finished within a few weeks. So within the next seven months, a lot will be accomplished. It is exciting and when it is broken down like this into parts, it doesn’t feel so heavy of a burden. Actually, I can have all of the original series edited within a month or two, and as the funds come in, have the book covers added. But I can start on the memoirs and get a head start on those too. The new fundraiser will be up and running sometime next spring/summer as well. It isn’t as fast as I had hoped. I mean, after all, over sixteen years is a long time. But you can be sure I am dedicated and will see this through to the final, “The End!”
