THE TRUE ESSENCE
Wow! I could write an entire novel on this subject of both writing the book series as well as the scripts. The story of Summer Ray was unexpected. I went to Big Round Top in Gettysburg, PA on February 09, 2009 to do research for my book, “The Blessings of Liberty.” I was encased by a winter wonderland of snow and ice, on top of a hill that both Union and Confederate soldiers fought and shed blood on.
“In great deeds something abides. On great fields something stays.
Forms change and pass; bodies disappear, but spirits linger, to
consecrate ground for the vision-place of souls. And reverent men and
women from afar, and generations that know us not and that we know
not of, heart-drawn to see where and by whom great things were
suffered and done for them, shall come to this deathless field to
ponder and dream; And lo! the shadow of a mighty presence shall
wrap them in its bosom, and the power of the vision pass into their
souls.”

After slipping on an ice patch, I was cascading down the mountain heading toward snow covered boulders, breastworks (stones walls that were made to protect the soldiers), and some monuments that are made of marble or cement. Had I crashed into any of those things, I would have been seriously injured or perhaps even killed. Those were the thoughts that were racing through my mind, and I knew that I only had seconds to spare myself from either of those two fates. So, I reached out hoping to grab onto something that would stop me from sliding down any further. What I grabbed onto that day, changed the course of my life forever – a thorn bush. Had I grabbed onto something without thorns, my hand would not have been cut open and my blood would not have been splattered on the stark white snow. The second this happened, time for me froze on that hill. I couldn’t move as I knew I was surrounded by history that millions were trying to erase. I felt their pain. I felt their fight. I felt their courage and most of all, I felt their love. Somehow, the soldiers of an age gone by, their need for remembrance became my need and I have been driven by their silent, yet overwhelming passionate pleas and presence ever since.
I did not know back then what America’s future would begin to look like. Twelve years ago, Confederate history was not being erased. Monuments to brave generals and tombs were not being desecrated. Yet, it became obvious that even the Revolutionary War was also a target of misguided Socialists as even our nation’s first President – General George Washington became a target. Our freedom, religious rights, freedom of speech, and many more attributes of our American way of life was under attack and still is. Murdering babies who can survive outside his or her mother’s womb became an essential in this country. NY Democrat Rep. Jeffrey Nadler stated, “What any religious tradition describes as God’s will is of no concern of this Congress.” When I heard that, I finally understood the impact that Summer Ray will have on our America, both here and around the globe. Why? We are recreating many historical parts of our American History in this series. Was not this great country founded on God’s Word? Did not the Pilgrims come from across the ocean on ships that were cramped, and food was scare? I also believe those who side with Mr. Nadler’s godless point of view, are in desperate need of a history lesson of their own.

“It is impossible to rightly govern the world, without God and the Bible. Do not ever let anyone claim they are a true American Patriot, if they ever attempt to separate religion from politics.”

Like others, I’ve marveled at your factories your skyscrapers, and your arsenals. But underlying everything else is the fact that America began as a God-loving, God-fearing, God-worshiping people, know that there is a spark of the divine in each one of us. America has started to become a God-less nation and its decent toward communism has left people broken, confused, suicidal and poverty stricken. Be that as it may, there are still millions of us, the Patriots, who are fighting this heathenistic and demonic “new normal.” Allowing children to decide what gender they want to be is not only child abuse, it is vile and against the true nature of Almighty God. Morals, values, respect, integrity, honesty and most of all truth – are sadly lacking in this country. Those of us who stand up for righteousness, are attacked by the far-out Left’s and their agenda to ruin the very heart and backbone of this county. But I will say this loud and proud. Summer Ray is here to stay. We will do our part to preserve our American History and to help it survive the future. We will keep God’s Word woven in the midst of this story and keep its’ foundation faith based. As a Conservative Christian writer, I am a child of the Most High God and I am not ashamed of that. In fact, I embrace it. We may be rejected by some, but we will be welcomed by others. We may be attacked, but we will not back down. We are in this till the last episode and with God’s help we will get there.
Summer Ray is a true American Patriot, and my team and I are as well. I do not know if anyone who is against what we stand for, would make it on this project. I have seen people come and go for that very reason. I have had many try to change the story to make it, “more Liberal.” I have had others try to make Summer Ray a man, or take out the angels or demons. I have walked away from those, who could very well have produced this first script, but with other massive changes that I simply could not allow. My faith is in God. I must maintain the true essence of the story of Summer Ray, or we will not have a meaningful message. Summer Ray is purpose driven. Yet at the same time, it must also be a story that captivates and entertains its readers and viewers. My book reviews prove that it does. However, a visual medium is a different craft that I have worked extremely hard at mastering. The first script has taken at least eight years, to get it where it is today. Back when I was first learning about writing a screenplay, I never could have ever imagined, just how difficult of a road it would be. Why? It’s because writing the book series was so incredibly easy and amazing. I was in my element doing the research that I love so much. I was able to use my imagination for something that would help other people. I was able to incorporate part of my life story, into Summer’s story. Not only that, my characters took on lives of their own. I liken it to walking my dog. No! He walks me, but in a happy way. It’s pretty much the same with my characters. When it came time to give some of them names, I opened a phone book, shut my eyes and pointed. I kid you, not!
As far as writing about the demons, it was a very tough time for me. C.S. Lewis’s book, “The Screwtape Letters,” https://www.amazon.com/Screwtape-Letters-C-S-Lewis/dp/0060652934/ actually gave me the strength to persevere. I knew if C.S. Lewis could get through the process of writing about such evil, then so could I. Wherever Satan, his principalities and demons are, there is also an absence of spiritual light. Our Proof Concept video www.thememoirsofsummerray.com was so vividly real and to some, quite horrifying that I even lost my best friend of over twenty years. This was without the special effects, make up and the wardrobe that we will have in the actual film. But there is no way that I can remove the truth that these entities exist. I will stay true to the integrity of the story. We are not entertaining Satan. We are exposing him.
I do not know how or when we will get our funding for this project, but I know we will.

We will keep on asking, seeking and knocking, until we are fully funded and are able to start production. It’s actually very exciting and I cannot wait. We will welcome anyone who we feel is the right fit, provided they can keep their political views to themselves, if they are in direct opposition of the story. A good actor will do just that…act! However, rioting or being destructive, as the full owner of Love Studios and the majority owner of SostarSun Productions, I will not permit anyone of this nature to be a part of this project. We also support our United States Military past, present and future. We stand for the National Anthem and we soon will have our Summer Ray Light the World Foundation operational. We, at Summer Ray, are concerned about human life and how we can help bring light, love, and hope to a hurting world. Patriots are NOT a dying breed. We are not the enemy Satan is, and we will never bow down to him and watch him destroy our beautiful America. We won’t forget those who came before us with their own blood, sweat and tears to make this country a free one. Until President Donald J. Trump returns to his rightful place in the White House, we will continue to strive to “Make America Great Again.” I have had people tell me not to show my Patriotism as it could hurt the franchise. Thankfully, Summer Ray’s survival is in the hands of God. I will stay true to Him; to my family; to my county; and to my Summer Ray Franchise and all who are with me. But most of all, I will stay true to myself. I AM a true American Patriot; a Christian Conservative writer and I will do my part in restoring America to her rightful beauty. “This land that was made for you and me!”
To those who would consider me and my story an enemy, I know that God loves you and if you would just give this story a chance, you might find something in it that will touch your heart and show you your own need for God as well. Just like God’s sun doesn’t shine on only those who serve Him, I didn’t just write Summer Ray for those who are nice to me. I wrote it to be a light in a very dark world; to show the truth about good vs. evil. I wrote it also for those who I know will reject me and hate me, in hopes that the seeds will be planted and at some point, their life will change for the better because of it. If we can do this, even for just one soul, we will have done our job and not just here in America. Summer Ray is now in over twenty nine countries.
